Getting started

Set up your first playbook, analyze a contract, and review the evidence behind each finding.

Before you begin

NexLens is built for repeatable first-pass contract review. It compares a contract with the standards in your playbook and organizes the findings for human review.

NexLens does not provide legal advice and should not make final legal or commercial decisions for your team.

1. Create your account

Create an account with email or supported single sign-on. Your contracts, playbooks, and reports are scoped to your authenticated account.

2. Add a playbook

Open Playbooks and upload a PDF or DOCX containing your review rules. NexLens extracts editable text while retaining the original file for reference.

You can also create a playbook by entering rules directly. Use clear requirements such as required governing law, maximum liability, notice periods, and deal-breakers.

3. Analyze a contract

Choose one to three playbooks, then upload a PDF or DOCX, import a supported file from Drive, or scan pages with your phone. When several playbooks are selected, the first has the highest priority.

4. Review the report

Start with the overall risk summary, then inspect each issue. Compare the quoted contract language, explanation, recommendation, and attributed playbook rule before taking action.
